Susanne joined Act Three in 2010 to promote communications to the greater community and to women in transition in particular. With a background in journalism and public relations, Susanne worked most recently as a writer, copyeditor and translator, while raising her three children.
Originally from Sweden, Susanne received her undergraduate degree from the University of Göteborg and launched her first career as a reporter for one the largest Swedish newspapers. After an intense period in a heavily deadline-oriented industry, she was appointed to work in an international organization in Geneva, Switzerland, as an information officer covering extended negotiations on European economic integration.
Susanne came to the United States to study at Johns Hopkins School of Advanced International Studies (SAIS) in Washington, D.C. After receiving her Masters degree, she moved to Boston where she accepted a leadership position as Government Relations Director for World Congress. Her involvement in the 7th Annual World Economic Development Conference resulted in the attendance of more than 100 ministers and high-level government officials at a conference in Hong Kong to benefit infrastructural development in their home countries.
Having lived on two continents, in three different countries, and multiple cities throughout America, Susanne has experienced first hand the commonalities of women across cultures in various stages of their lives and careers. She understands the challenges of re-launching a career on a personal level, and emphasizes the importance of proper support and guidance in the process.
Susanne speaks four languages and maintains a passion for international affairs. She is an active member of Swedes in Greater Cincinnati, a non-profit organization with the purpose of promoting Swedish culture and fellowship, and the Greater Cincinnati World Affairs Council.
